Meeting called to order at 5:00 pm by President John Moynihan.
Minutes for Jan 9, 2017 meeting were approved.
Treasurer’s Report
Beginning Bal: $ 1171.97
+ 45.00 (50/50)
+ 20.00 (Member dues)
Ending Bal $ 1236.97
Rules Review (Bill Robinson)
Bill discussed how you can use the Rules of Golf to your advantage.
A short video was shown highlighting an unusual way the rules can help you.
The new rules for 2019 should be announced soon (Mar 2018) and when they are,
Bill Robinson & George Montgomery will discuss/explain them over the course of
2018 MGA meetings.
Upcoming Tournaments
26 players have signed up for the Feb 24 Par 3 Tournament. Ken Sabol
(Tournament Director) would like to get the field up to 32 players.
West Lake (Mar 5, Tournament Director: Richard Stamm) – we still have openings,
the course is nice – please consider playing.
If you have ideas about new / different courses we should consider for future
tournaments, please let us know.
New Business
Mike D. has asked if the MGA wants to put together a team(s) to enter in the inter-
club competition ($300.00 per team). The final competition will take place
somewhere in North Carolina. Several members indicated they were interested.
50/50 Drawing
$76 collected, winning ticket 434789 earned Lee Covert $38.00
