Our first ever GACC Masters tournament is in the books, and it was not without drama! 

The green jacket (and embroidered tee shirt) winners included Tom Watt (low gross) and Dave Schwartz (low net) in Flight 1.  But it was in Flight 2  where the drama became Master's like.  John Karl and Bob McLaughlin battled it out for low gross in Flight 2 with a 3 hole play off.  

It started with a tie on Hole 1. Then on Hole 18 Bob sank a looonggg putt from the front edge to pull out a tie.  Then back to Hole 1 for the third playoff hole.  John hit a great bunker shot close, laying 3.  Bob hit his fourth approach shot long to the left edge and then almost sank his fifth shot,  but missed for a six.  John had a 2 putt bogey to win the hole, the play off and claim the Flight 2 green jacket (and embroidered tee shirt).

Jerry Wilson (Flight 1) and Bob McLaughlin (Flight 2) rounded out the overall flight standings, both securing low net second place honors.

Dick Leach (Hole 8) and Paul Heine (Hole 16) grabbed CTPs.

Prizes:
  • Optional – 9-Hole Individual Par 3 (Men and Women Flights)
  • 18-Hole Individual Tournament – (Men and Women Flights)
  • Choose your own foursome – both events
  • Handicaps determined based on the tee box you sign up to play from
  • Gross and Net Winners in each flight; - 18-hole event only
  • Pre-event Drawing for prizes – 18-hole event only
  • Door Prizes (must be present to win) – 18-hole event only
  • CTP: #5 for all, #8 women, #11 for all, #16 men – 18-hole event only
  • 50/25/25 Raffle - both events; Mulligans – 18-hole event only
  • Optional Gross and Net Skins – both events

Costs:

  • Cedar Creek GC member with cart plan: 18-Hole $30.00/Par 3 - $0 cart fee
  • Cedar Creek GC member w/o cart plan:18-hole $50.00/Par 3 - $10 cart fee
  • Non-Member of Cedar Creek GC: 18-hole $60.00/Par 3 - $10 cart fee
  • Non-GACC member – add $20.00 to player cost.
  • 18-Hole Entry Fee INCLUDES lunch on Saturday only; if your spouse or guest
  • wants to attend, please add an additional $17.00 for meal payment.
