GACC 2024 Shootout Rules
The shootout will be held on Hole 16 at Cedar Creek at 3:00PM.
The men will play from two tee boxes specifically established for this edition of the Edward Jones Shootout, with a forward tee for 16+ handicappers set at 135 yards, and a back tee of 155 yards set for “15 and under” handicappers. The ladies will play from a modified tee box forward of the existing red tees from approximately 100 to 110 yards.
Each Participant will bring 3 of their own golf balls with their name clearly printed with permeant marker on each ball. They will also provide their own water, tees, and clubs. Participants will warm up at the driving range and be at the contest site at least 10 minutes prior to 3:00pm ready to participate.
The first four rounds in both brackets will be two person matches. The closest to the pin (on or off the green, in or out of bounds) will move on to the next round and the loser is eliminated. The last two remaining players in each bracket will compete against each other in a four-person match. Each player in the final four will hit one shot each and the one furthest from the pin will be eliminated and awarded fourth place. The remaining three will each hit one shot and the furthest from the pin will be eliminated and will be awarded third place, leaving two players. The two finalists will play the best two out of three single shot closest to the pin matches. The winner is the Grand Prize Winner, and the loser is the 2nd place money winner.
