General Membership Meeting
September 9, 2014
Meeting called to order at 5:00 by President Ken Brace
Meeting Agenda was reviewed
The Minutes of the August 2014 meeting were approved.
Don Kasper gave the Treasurers Report:
Balance of $579.31
Dues for new year are due beginning in October
Expected expenditures will provide refreshments for 2 day tournament
NEWS FROM THE COURSE:
Vice President Frank Beaty reported on current status of the golf course
Jim McNair sent E-mail to community with an update
Practice green should be ready in October - Stay off the green sign until then was recommended
Superintendent still dealing with equipment breakdowns
Course is improving
Greens will be over seeded in October
Work on practice facility has begun
DOUBLE HEADER TOURNAMENT UPDATE
Tournament will be held at the River Club and Forest Hills
There will be 3 Flights and an overall Winner
Payouts will be given out at the October 14 meeting which will be held at the Community Center, beginning at 4:00
Handicap max for all tournaments is 36
Be sure to post all scores for handicap purposes
Old Business
Current Officers were re - elected for the upcoming year -KenBrace - President, Frank Beaty - VP, Don Kasper - Treasurer, Ken Sabol - Secretary
Those wishing to run for office next year are invited to attend board meetings in preparation for next year
Tournament Chairs and Active Association Volunteers were recognized and thanked for their service
NEW BUSINESS
Details were outlined for the upcoming Memorial Service to be held on Friday September 19 for those Golfers who have “Played Through”
Members were reminded that a drawing will be held at the October meeting to award 2 members free entry into an upcoming tournament
