Men's Golf League
Meets every Wednesday morning at the Cedar Creek Golf Club. Sign up in the Pro Shop no later than the Sunday before play. Play is open to all men who are Cedar Creek residents or members of Cedar Creek Golf Club. The Wednesday Men’s League is a great way to meet your neighbors and enjoy the game of golf together. Our players’ handicaps vary from single digit to 36+. We play different formats each week, determined by members of the league. Every other week, at a minimum, we play a handicap-generating round. On alternate weeks we play scrambles or other formats just to mix it up. You will play with different people each week, so it’s a good opportunity to meet new people in a low-pressure environment. If you have $10.00 and enjoy friendly competition, come on down!
We meet at the Cedar Creek Golf Course Pro-Shop every Saturday morning. Pay your ten dollars, throw your ball into our bag and at 8:50 we randomly drop balls in groups of 3 or 4 (depending on turnout). By 9:00 we are rolling out for a shotgun start. If you have an established GHIN index you can play for prizes on day one, if not, we will establish your index / quota after you have played three rounds in our game. All are welcome – we have single digit to high handicappers – the quota system “levels the playing field” and many a player has had a day where a Skin or two has been quite fruitful. Note: This same game is also played at the Aiken Golf Club (downtown Aiken) – Thursdays, 8:20 ball drop. For More Information contact: David Schwartz - dschwartz58@yahoo.com |
