Meeting called to order at 5:00 pm by President John Moynihan.
Minutes for Sep 19, 2017 meeting were approved.
Tip from the Pro
What to do if you’re in a hitting slump:
Check your grip pressure - the harder you try to hit a shot,
the tighter you will grip the club and that restricts the ‘flow’ of a good swing.
Go to the range and practice with a ‘lite grip’ and allow your hands to release
and rotate as you make contact with the ball.
Treasurer’s Report
Beginning Bal: $ 433.89
+ 90.00 (9 new members)
- 75.00 (Piper)
- 86.40 (Flowers)
- 39.00 (River Club)
+ 0.00 (no 50/50 last month)
Ending Bal: $ 323.49
Old Business
Member’s dues are being taken for the 2017 – 2018 year.
Please consider being an Officer for next year –
Two of our officers (Don Kasper [Treasurer] & Dean Spiro [Secretary]) are serving
their last allowable year.
New Business
No tournaments scheduled for October.
November:
The Reserve Club Monday Nov 11th – 2 man, Four Ball $45 = $39 for golf +
$6 for prizes. Sign up by Nov 6.
Match Play tournament – Nov 17 & 18 – Full handicapped event individual,
9 hole matches – we’re looking for 32 players
General Discussion
Ken Brace discussed the need for a liaison between the POACC and Cedar Creek
Golf Course. After ‘open floor’ discussion with MGA members a vote was taken
and approved having Ken approach the POACC with this idea. Ken will advise as
to the outcome.
50/50 Drawing
$80 collected, winning ticket 434559 earned Casey Z. $40 – congrats!
