Here is what Midland Valley is doing to help keep their course open. See the message below.
I hope we do not have to go to this at Cedar Creek. One way to keep the two person cart policy in place at Cedar Creek is to observe the mask and social distancing recommendations. Some things like wearing a mask while riding with someone and taking it off when you hit the ball is an inconvenience but might help keep you and your cart partner safe. Wear your masks in the parking and staging areas before and after the round. Wear your mask when going into the pro-shop. Remember, wearing a mask gives you some protection but the main reason to wear one is to protect others.
I can only continue to make recommendations to help stop this virus before it starts in the Cedar Creek golfing community. Each one of us should be responsible for our own safety and hopefully the safety of others so we can continue to play the game we all have a love/hate relationship with.

In response to the rising rate of infections in Aiken County, the mandatory single cart policy will be reinstated effective Saturday, August 1, 2020. The 18 hole price will increase by $5. During peak periods, you may experience a slight delay while your cart is being sanitized.
In addition, we will be maintaining and/or increasing our current sanitization practices.
Changes you should make:
Although we will continue to provide pencils and scorecards on the carts, the USGA recommends you do not share these items. Please download the free scorecard app for Midland Valley Golf Club (download YamaTrack Mobile app in the Apple app store or Google Play; then select Midland Valley Country Club) to record your score.
The USGA allows you to leave the flagstick in the cup.
Maintain social distancing on the tees and greens.
Maintain social distancing in the parking lot.
We will continue to make changes as needed. Although we are not able to respond to every email, your input is greatly appreciated.
Stay safe and see you on the tee,
Rusty
