A Toast to Jack Smith

Jack Smith, a long time Cedar Creek resident and one of the infamous Walker's of Cedar Creek passed away on Friday, April 22nd.  On Friday, May 6,  the Walker's, with Jack's wife Mary Margaret, gathered on the porch to remember Jack.  A Toast to Jack was presented to the group by George Patterson.  Many stories were told and a lot of laughter was had in recalling Jack's days with the Walkers.  George reminded everyone that Jack had been the only 2 time winner of the annual "Nice Guy" Award presented at the Walker's Banquet and he proclaimed that from now on the award will be known as the "Jack Smith" award.  A loud "Here, Here" was given to cement the proclamation.
